Installation instructions

USPS Mailbox Placement Requirements

Position post/mailbox assembly in desired location.

Mark ground where hole for first (longer) mounting stake should be drilled.

1 inch X 18 inch wood drill (available at Harbor Freight) works great to drill holes in dirt to facilitate mounting stake installation.

Drill hole 18 inches deep for first mounting stake keeping drill level and straight.

Drive longer/first mounting stake into ground using block of wood between hammer and stake to protect powder coat finish. Leave approx. 6 inches of stake above ground.

Temporarily mount post/mailbox assembly to first mounting stake with both bolts. Mark ground where hole for shorter/second mounting stake should be drilled. Remove post/mailbox assembly and drill hole for second mounting stake. Drive second mounting stake into ground using protective wood block, leave approx. 4 inches of stake above ground.

Mount post/mailbox assembly to first mounting stake with both bolts loose installed. Use line up punch or screwdriver to line up bolt holes of post to second mounting stake and insert both bolts. Final tighten all bolts.

Front to back alignment can be adjusted by stake height into ground. Side to side alignment can be adjusted by gently bending the entire post into the vertical position as required.
